Adrenaline Image Processing Accelerators

Kofax Adrenaline is a family of hardware accelerators and software engines designed to support professional document scanning, by combining production scanning control with sophisticated image processing.

Adrenaline performs image clean-up, bar code recognition, forms processing, and auto-rotation at scan time to accelerate and improve the capture process.

The results of using Adrenaline are higher image quality, better OCR accuracy, and smaller file sizes. Hardware models are available for both SCSI and video interfaces.

Adrenaline products support hundreds of scanning applications that use ISIS®, TWAIN or Kofax Image Controls.

VRS

VirtualReScan (VRS) is designed to give perfect scans the first time, every time.

VRS is a powerful combination of hardware and intelligent software. It automatically corrects documents that are highly skewed, compensates for poor image contrast, and sets the correct orientation of each page.

The use of VRS results in lower operating costs due to increased automated recognition accuracy, fewer rescans, easier to read images, and a significant reduction in the manual labor required to presort documents and change scanner settings.
